Wellbeing Disclaimer
Last updated: 6 August 2026 | Version 2.2
1. A wellbeing and self-reflection service
AuDHD Companion is operated by AuDHD Companion, ABN 94 677 883 739. The service is designed and offered as a general wellbeing, organisation and self-reflection web app. It can be installed from a supported browser as a home-screen web app, but it is not currently an Apple App Store or Google Play Store app. Its tools may help you record daily experiences, notice changes over time, prepare for appointments and communicate what has been difficult or helpful.
It is not intended for clinical practice, diagnosis, screening, prevention, prediction, prognosis, treatment or monitoring of a medical or mental-health condition.
2. It is not healthcare
AuDHD Companion is not a doctor, psychologist, psychiatrist, pharmacist, therapist, counsellor or other health professional. Using the app does not create a clinician-patient, therapist-client or other professional relationship with AuDHD Companion.
The app is not a substitute for personalised advice, assessment or care from a suitably qualified professional who knows your circumstances.
3. No diagnosis or clinical assessment
The app does not diagnose or rule out ADHD, autism, AuDHD, anxiety, depression, burnout, trauma, sleep disorders or any other condition. Identity and neurotype selections are self-described and do not require proof of a formal diagnosis.
Scores, check-ins, reports and observations are not validated diagnostic tests, clinical risk assessments or measures of severity. They should not be interpreted that way.
4. Your records are personal observations
What you record reflects your own experience at a particular time. Entries can be incomplete, subjective, affected by memory or influenced by the scales and words you choose. Missing days and changing routines can also affect what a pattern appears to show.
A report may help begin a conversation, but it is not a complete picture of your health, circumstances or support needs.
5. Patterns are prompts, not conclusions
AuDHD Companion may describe associations in the information you recorded. An association does not prove that one thing caused another, that a pattern is clinically significant or that it will continue.
Wording such as “your records suggest” or “you may wish to explore” is intended as a gentle reflection prompt, not a medical interpretation, treatment recommendation or prediction.
6. Spoons and capacity are flexible tools
Spoons, capacity ratings and similar scales are personal metaphors and self-ratings. They are not measurements of physical energy, cognitive function, disability, illness or work capacity. There is no medically correct number of spoons.
Use the scales in the way that helps you understand your own day. Do not use them to decide whether you are safe to drive, work, exercise, care for another person or complete a task that carries risk.
7. Medication and vitamin records
The medication and vitamin features are personal logs only. They do not check whether an item, dose, timing or combination is safe, suitable, complete or current. The app does not provide interaction checking, prescribing, dispensing or medication-management advice.
Never start, stop, reduce, increase or change the timing of medication or supplements because of something shown in AuDHD Companion. Confirm decisions with your prescriber, pharmacist or another appropriately qualified health professional. For urgent concerns about a medicine or possible reaction, seek prompt medical help.
8. Knowledge Hub and lived-experience content
Knowledge Hub articles and public Ask answers are general educational and lived-experience content. Ask answers are drawn from the Knowledge Hub and appear only after editorial review, but they are not personalised to your health, history or circumstances. They may help you find language for an experience or identify questions to explore, but they are not individual advice and may not reflect every neurodivergent person, every diagnosis or the latest evidence in every area.
Do not rely on an article or Ask answer as the sole basis for a health, medication, legal, employment, education, relationship or financial decision.
9. Reports shared with professionals
You may choose to share a report with a health professional, support worker, employer, educator or another trusted person. Reports remain user-created summaries and are not medical records, formal assessments or verified clinical data.
Anyone using a report professionally should apply their own judgement, verify relevant information and work within their qualifications and responsibilities. AuDHD Companion does not direct or supervise their decisions.
10. The app is not monitored for emergencies
Journal entries, check-ins, ratings and other private records are not continuously watched for signs of crisis, self-harm, abuse, medical deterioration or danger. The app cannot contact emergency services for you, and a support request or email may not be read immediately.
11. Do not delay professional support
Seek qualified support when you are concerned about symptoms, medication, safety, daily functioning or a change in your physical or mental health. If professional advice conflicts with general information in the app, follow the advice given for your circumstances or seek a second qualified opinion.
AuDHD Companion should sit alongside appropriate support — never between you and the help you need.
12. Technology has limits
We work to keep the service reliable, but software can contain errors, become temporarily unavailable or display incomplete information. Installing the web app or adding it to a home screen does not turn it into a continuously monitored health service. Notifications can be delayed or blocked by browser or device settings. Exports can contain errors if source information is missing or inaccurate.
Keep separate copies of information you need for medication safety, emergencies, legal obligations, employment requirements or ongoing care. Do not rely on AuDHD Companion as your only record.
13. Third-party services and links
The app may connect to or link to services operated by other organisations. Their information, availability and practices are outside our control. A link does not mean we endorse every statement, service or outcome offered by that organisation.
14. Your choices
You choose what to record, which tools to use and whether to share a report. Please use the app in a way that feels supportive rather than punitive. You can pause, reduce or stop tracking at any time.
You remain responsible for decisions you make using your own information, while recognising that nothing in this disclaimer removes rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded, including rights under Australian Consumer Law.
15. Changes and questions
We may update this disclaimer when the service, its boundaries or relevant requirements change. The current version and update date will remain available in the app. Material changes may also be brought to your attention in the app.
Questions can be sent to hello@audhdcompanion.com. Please also read the Terms of Use and Privacy Policy.
